I thought about climbing the mountain today, mostly because I've been a total slacker this week with working out.

It's been the week before finals and I had a major paper to turn in on Wednesday at 5:00 - which for our school was a pretend Monday, which means that I have late classes so that means no swimming.

And besides, I was up every night till 2 or so, stressing and eating too much.

But anyway... I had a choice to make.

Plan A, Plan B, or stay home and work on studying for finals.

Don't worry, study lost, big time.

But I wanted to let you all know that I had my eye out for you all today. I headed off to a place where probably just about none of you have ever been, and quite probably, will never go.

So I watched for you and I recorded for both of us actually.

Do you know that some birds out there actually have two areas of focus in their eyes? They can look straight ahead and also have a clear view out of the side of their eye as well.

The Bald Eagle has vision that is estimated at being 4 times as sharp as the best human eye. From a thousand feet up that gives it the ability to see That means that an eagle flying at an altitude of 1000 feet over open country could spot prey over an area of almost 3 square miles.

Now I can't see that good. But I, like the eagle, can see in color and when I see unique blends and swirls of color, I'm quite likely to stop and take notice.

As an aside, when I plant flowers, it's not just about the flowers, it's equally about painting with color.

Today was about color.

I ended up taking so many photos that I ran out of digital "film" and that's pretty much a first for me. Usually I carry enough storage between two cameras that I can easily make it through the day.

But not today.

I shot over 350 images and even tried to make a u-tube movie thingie if I can figure out what to do next with those files.

So I looked out for you today, and when where you probably have never gone, and quite likely, never will.

Where'd I go?

What did I do?

Oh, by the way, not to worry, this one is keeping an eye out as well.

And, in case you are wondering, I wasn't anywhere near a zoo or anything remotely similar.
